Creativity flourishes only when the capable gets the tools and the opportunity to perform. At Calsoft, we are conscious of this critical key growth factor. Calsoft's Learning Center offers various programs designed to cater to various levels and needs of the employees on a continuous basis. Most of them are led by Calsoftians. Calsoftians learn more about the joy of sharing and event management, through their outreach activities, Mitr, in the community.
Often the unstated need of an employee is recognition and identity. At Calsoft, nobody gets "lost in the crowd". Our Elite Fast Track scheme sets the framework to identify, recognize and showcase the employee across the company. All members of Elite team are treated as "stars" and grow faster, laterally and vertically, through the system.
Every employee within the company clearly knows his/her key performance areas (KPA), deliverables and measurement criteria. Periodic and continuous review and feedback gives the employee a clear picture of his/her performance and the corrective actions that need to be carried out to do better. The KPA have been set up to ensure that the employee continuously wins as he contributes. This not only helps the employee to understand his/her strengths and weaknesses but also facilitates him/her to do better thereby instilling in him/her a sense of achievement.
A strong senior management team comprising of people from diverse backgrounds and ethnicity help in shaping up the future of young Caloftians. Every new comer to the company has an assigned "mentor" (usually a senior management member), who takes care of the employee's all round growth. Employees are encouraged to enroll for higher studies, gain professional certifications, participate in professional bodies and conferences. Several employees have got opportunities to speak in national and international forums.
A big part of life in Calsoft happens outside the office. At least two to three times a year, the extended Calsoft family (employees with their families), meet at an external location just for fun and frolic. In addition, monthly Milan meet is a great forum for employees to "freak out". Through their monthly news magazine, iConnect, managed and published by Calsoftians themselves, they connect to the larger organization across the world.
Calsoft's compensation policy is designed to position itself in the top quartile amongst all Indian IT companies. After completion of one year of service, all employees are eligible to ESPS.
The relative small size of the company (compared to its global presence and domain depth) and its aggressive growth initiatives give the employees opportunity for rapid lateral movement and vertical growth. If you drop in to the company in the evenings, you are mostly likely to be greeted by the strains of music practiced by Calsoftians organized by their own Surtaal club.
